Program Description:

DePaul offers an exchange program with Australian Catholic University (ACU), an Australian government-funded, public university open to students of all beliefs, nationalities and cultures. ACU is Australia's leading Catholic University, an institution that empowers students to think critically, ethically and to bring about change in their communities.

Just like DePaul, ACU is a university of service, inspired by the need to stand up for people in need and causes that matter! ACU offers community engagement courses that contribute to the common good and address social justice issues in the community, providing assistance to disadvantaged people. Pursue an opportunity to integrate community service into your study abroad experience! Interact with local community members and work with non-profit organizations through ACU’s Institute for Advancing Community Engagement (IACE). Study at ACU’s regional campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Ballarat and Canberra. On this full curriculum program, students can choose from a wide range of courses in Arts and Sciences, Business, Information Technology, Education, Psychology, Religion and Health Sciences. Class sizes are small to allow for close working relationships between students and teachers, as well as outstanding student support services. Internships are available.

ACU students enjoy the friendly campuses with easy access to lecturers and outstanding student support services. Students also have opportunities to participate in community engagement classes and internships at the Brisbane campus at ACU. Internships are mostly geared towards business students or liberal studies students working with non-profits. This exchange program also includes a great range of exciting field trips and practical components that offer you an experience and insight into Australian lifestyle, culture, and environment.
